We often joke about it during class, but it's true: Dance Class is 50% Therapy.
As I write this, I know my own therapist is smiling while reading this (hi Kris!), so I want to be clear that it isn't a replacement for actual therapy - But dance class can offer some similar benefits. Have you ever had “a day” and you just needed someplace to go where you could vent, get it out of your system, take a breath, and then get back to your life? Me too! And that's one of the best parts about our studio. We’re that someplace! We strive to make our studio a comfortable and welcoming space where you can feel safe to share your feelings in a room of people who understand what you’re going through. Seeing my students support and encourage each other is a point of great pride for me. It means so much when I see them stop in the middle of a class to offer a compliment, or wait after class to exchange numbers with a new friend. We want everyone to leave our studio feeling better than when they entered. We have a saying that “dance is supposed to relieve your stress - not add to it” and our instructors work hard to make that a reality. Our classes are accessible, supportive, and will help you to feel just a little better than when you walked in. Whether it’s because you conquered a new step, heard a really great joke (the comedy is free!), or because you took the time out of your day to finally do something for yourself - somehow you leave our studio feeling a little more at ease, and like you’re standing just a little bit taller. So if you:
Then stop by our studio to feel the emotional & physical benefits of dancing with our community. We can't wait to see you!
